How fast does an Ebike Dirt Bike go?
Rev up those battery powered motors because we bring you the best electric dirt bikes (also known as Ebike Dirt Bike).
And what are they exactly?
Aimed at thrill-seeking teens and adults, electric dirt bikes offer the power and speed of an off-road bike, eco friendly and minus the polluting emissions.
Consider it living proof that the future can be filled with everything we love about the present and the past, but with a green twist.
The top speeds of electric dirt bikes will vary from model to model. Let’s take a loot at the following types of electric dirt bikes:
It is a 100% electric model with three versions. The E-SM (22 hp) has a range of 110 km and a top speed of 90 km/h. The E-SX (15 CV) is only for circuits and has a range of 60 km and a maximum speed of 70 km/h and its E-XC version (15 CV) has the same range and maximum speed, it differs from the E-SX in that it can be used on public roads.
Cross: Zero Motorcycles Zero FXS 2017
The Zero brand also stands out in this type of motorcycle. The Zero FXS 2017 is made with the idea of serving both on roads and in urban areas. The ZF&.5 model has a range of 145 km and a maximum speed of 132 km/h. It also consists of a system of battery packs that can be charged on the same motorcycle or outside.
Here we have two bikes that are on par in terms of range and top speed. The difference between one and the other lies in their maximum power and in the CV of each one and both are from the Zero Motorcycles brand.
Zero DS 2017 (54 hp)
It has two models, the ZF 9.8 with a maximum autonomy of 177 km and a maximum speed of 158 km/h and the ZF 13.0 model, which has greater autonomy since it can go 237 km without charging and reaches the same maximum speed.
Zero DSR 2017 (69 hp)
It coincides with the DS ZF13.0 in autonomy and maximum speed, but, however, its power and motor have a higher percentage and that is why it makes it a superior version of the Zero DS.
Are electric dirt bikes road legal?
Surely you would love to use Electric Dirt Bikes on any type of road to get around, but the regulations are quite strict regarding their use on public roads: you can only drive a cross bike on closed circuits, no conventional roads or public roads.
The illegality of using a dirt bike on the street
Due to the fact that motocross is a sport that is practiced on duly delimited and fenced closed circuits, the vehicles used for it do not need to be approved for public roads. In this sense, the dirt bikes do not have an electrical lighting system, they do not have headlights or mirrors, nor do they comply with the noise limits or with the gas emissions established by the authorities.
This type of electric motorcycle (Electric Dirt Bike)does not need a registration permit or license plate, nor are they required to pass the ITV, since they are non-homologated vehicles.
As for insurance, dirt bikes are not covered by conventional insurance, since it only covers responsibilities when driving on public roads with a legal vehicle. This does not mean that in the event of an accident or causing any damage to third parties, you are exempt from any liability. Quite the contrary: you are the person who must respond to the damage with a fine and with criminal responsibilities.
For all these reasons, cross bikes are not authorized to circulate on public roads, as is the case with mini motorcycles for children. And remember that for the transfer of your motorcycle to the circuit, it must be done with a trailer.
What alternatives are there to dirt bikes on the road?
There is a type of electric bikes very similar to motocross: Enduro motorcycles. This model does have all the necessary approvals to circulate on public roads, as well as the relevant documentation. However, in each autonomous community there is different legislation on the use of this type of motorcycle. Thus, once you know that you cannot drive a cross bike on public roads, we recommend that before taking your Enduro motorcycle, you duly inform yourself about the places where you can travel with it.
How much do electric dirt bikes cost?
The price of E Dirt Bikes ranges between US $700 and $29,500. As with combustion electric bikes and motorcycles, prices will always depend on their consumption, autonomy, power and brand. Here you can find a list of the cheapest electric motorcycles on the market.

Secutronic ST-EDB3 Ebike Dirt Bike for Adults
Secutronic is committed to becoming China’s leading provider of outdoor sports and short-distance eco friendly transportation solutions. Relying on the Internet of Things product and service platform, the company has initially formed a business model with electric bike manufacturing as the core, supplemented by design, R&D and sales of high-quality electric bicycles. By using lightweight and high-durability lithium batteries, it can meet the needs of consumers at different levels and provide economical, efficient and convenient solutions for green traveling and outdoor sports.
Let us all experience this amazing and fun AdmitJet off-road electric vehicle.
The AdmitJet with classic and streamlined design is equipped with a high quality DC brushless central electric motor. The drive wheels can provide a maximum torque of 132.6 lb-ft (190N.m). It can reach a top speed of 46.6 MPH (75 KM/H). And the Dirt Bike Ebike uses a 60V 23AH high rate ternary Lithium ion battery.
The strong power output ensures that the AdmitJet help you easily conquer the rugged slopes and enjoy the fun of climbing.
The battery powered dirt bike EDB3 has two ride modes, “Sport” and “Economy”. The torque output in the “Sport” mode in the rear section is more ferocious than that of the “Economy”. The “Sport” mode is suitable for trail riding.
While, the “Economic” mode has a relatively “gentle” power output, and generally used on flat roads.
In addition, the “Economy” mode can be used as an energy saving mode to save power and extend the range.
In terms of power control, the AdmitJet has a throttle on the right side of the handlebar. This is similar with ordinary gas powered off-road motorcycle.
There is a power display on the top of the battery. The digital display and graphic display make the power clear at a glance. Users can monitor the power anytime and anywhere to know what they are in.
A 60V battery takes about 4 hours to fully charge. We’ve tested many time of this e pitbike, the riding can last about 50 or 60 KM with a single charge under the “sports” mode. And it is not a problem to run in the mountains for a day.
AdmitJet electric dirt bike is equipped with a FAST reverse air front fork (optional RST oil spring front fork) and spring rear shock absorber.
The overall of the original shock absorber system is slightly tough, in order to pursue a more delicate shock absorber.
In order to ensure the maximum torque, the AdmitJet adopts the chain transmission mode. The speed has no sliding loss, and the transmission efficiency can reach 98% to 99%. And the power transmission is also more direct, which can transmit more power at low speed.
During the acceleration process, you can feel a strong push from the rear wheel. This adult electric pit bike is just like a power monster.
The outer width of the 49mm rim and Zhengxin 70/100-19 large grain off-road wide tires are enough to crush everything. The vehicle is as stable as a mountain when passing through tree roots and stones, and there are few disturbing jumps.
Front and rear four-piston brakes plus 203mm disc brake performance is beyond doubt. The previous brake pads were prone to thermal fading during prolonged use, which weakened the braking force. We’ve fixed this little problem by upgrading the brake pads.
Driving the AdmitJet ebike dirt bike is a brand new experience. The AdmitJet pit bike is slightly different from the general mountain bike in terms of power control and center of gravity distribution. You need some time to get used to it.
Climbing is AdmitJet EDB3’s forte, and once you master the throttle and center of gravity distribution, you can try some steeper slopes.
The high performance AdmitJet EDB3 can easily conquer the slopes that mountain bikes can’t climb in the past, which greatly increases confidence. It allows racers to enjoy the sense of accomplishment brought by climbing.
When turning, driving the EDB3 just needs to step up throttle to get amazing acceleration. You can feel like you’re surrounded by gravity and get excited.
Overall, the AdmitJet is an all-round pit bike with strong torque, excellent climbing ability and diverse gameplay. When you are familiar with driving the AdmitJet EDB3, it will feel like opening a new world.
